Turkish Delight (Dutch: Turks fruit) is a 1973 Dutch erotic romantic drama film directed by Paul Verhoeven from a screenplay by Gerard Soeteman, based on the 1969 novel Turks Fruit by Jan Wolkers.
The film follows Eric, a bohemian artist, as he picks up women on the streets of Amsterdam and engages in intense and passionate relationships with them. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Olga, a free-spirited young woman who becomes his muse and lover. As their relationship deepens, Eric’s possessiveness and jealousy intensify, leading to a downward spiral of violence and despair.
